Hekatombaion (July/August)
| 1. Great Noumenia | Celebration of all the Gods and the Agathos Daimon. On this date, cakes are offered first and foremost to Hestia, then to each set of Gods (Olympic, Earthen, and Underworld) |
| 12. Kronia | A festival in honor of Kronos, the Father of Zeus and God of the Harvest. This is the date of the first harvest where the new herbs are blessed along with the tools that collected them. |
| 13. Theobasileia | The Celebration in honor of Zeus’ birth and Crowning. There is a sacrifice of grain, cakes and incense and then Zeus’ icon is crowned with a golden crown. Oracular Prophesy is also performed in honor of Zeus on this day. |
| 28. Panathenaia | Festival in Honor of Athena’s Birthday. On this date, a new altar cloth is presented to Athena, along with any projects which have been completed since the Chalkeia. |
Metageitnion (August/September)

Boedromion (September/October)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 5. Genesia | Festival in honor of the Dead. On this date, each family brings a wooden box and places in it offerings to their own ancestors as well as offerings to the ancestors of the community. Afterwards, the box for the community ancestors is placed upon the shrine of the Agathos Daimon for protection. |
| 9. Panagon | The Panic Games. On this date, a sacrifice is made to Pan in honor of His assistance in the battle of |
| Fall Equinox. Hellenic Fall Festival | A celebration in honor of Demeter, Persephone and Haides, marking Persephone’s return to the underworld. A banquet is offered to Demeter and Her daughter, and then there is a procession with Persephone’s statue to the shrine of Haides, where the sacrifice of a Pomegranate is made. |
Pyanopsion (October/November)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 7. Puanepsia | Festival in honor of Apollon. On this date, branches are decorated with bay leaves, ribbon, cotton, and other ornaments. These branches are passed between those participating. Each person receives one and then hangs it upon their door for good luck throughout the year. The offering upon this date is of vegetables and legumes. |
| 30.Chalkeia | Festival of Athena and Hephaestos. On this date, people bring projects and crafts which they desire to have blessed by Athena and Hephaestos, so that they may be able to complete them swiftly and well. Devotees of Athena will also begin making the new altar cloth presented to Her at the next Panathenaia. |
Maimakterion (November/December)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 3. Panaia | Celebration of Pan’s Birthday. On this date, pine branches are decorated and presented to Him at His altar. Games are played and a pine wreath is awarded to the winner. Other gifts are brought and presented to the God in honor of His birth. |
| 15. Pompaia | Purification Festival of Zeus. On this date, a blanket made of black sheep’s wool, blessed as the Dion Kodion is brought around the temple space to ward off miasma and impurities. Participants are also allowed to purify themselves, by sitting upon the blanket while a special purification ritual is done by the priest(s) of Zeus. |
Poseidon A & B (November/December/January)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 8. Poseideia | A Festival in honor of Poseidon. During this day sacrifices and games are performed for the God’s honor. |
| Winter Solstice. HTAZP Winter Festival | A Festival in honor of Helios and Selene. On this date, three candles are brought out: 1 gold, 1 black, 1 silver. The silver candle represents Selene, who is giving the most light at this time of year. The black candle is lit from this one and passed to the gold, representing Helios’ raising power during this time of year. |
| No Specific Date. Rural Dionysia | A celebration for Dionysos. During this date, a phallic representation is carried in a procession to the God’s shrine. There is a feast and game of charades followed by a theatrical production of some kind (usually a comic film). |
| No Specific Date. Feast of Pine Trees | During the December months, many people like to decorate pine trees. This particular observance carries many symbols, and it has been adopted into the HTAZP calendar as a festival of Pan (whose sacred tree is pine). On this date, a sacrifice is offered to Pan, and a tree is decorated with phallic symbols, ribbon, and ornaments to promote fertility. Also stories are told around the hearth-fire about Pan and the pine trees. |
Gamelion (January/February)

| 27. Thegamia/Gamelia | A celebration of the marriage of Zeus and Hera. On this date, both icons are brought in a procession to the marriage altar, where Their vows are renewed, witnessed by Helios and all of the Gods. Following the ceremony is a feast and games for the wedding. |
Anthesterion (February/March)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 4. Erosia | A Festival in honor of Eros. On this date, sacrifices and games are performed in His honor. |
| 11-13. Anthestiera | A festival in honor of Dionysos, Hermes and the Dead. During this festival, the main part of the temple is closed to keep out unwanted spirits who roam throughout the festival. The first day marks the wine harvest, and the first offering of wine is given to the God. The second day marks His marriage to Ariadne, where a marriage ceremony is performed. The third day marks the return of the spirits of the dead to the underworld. On the third day, vegetables and grains are offered to Hermes and the Dead, that Hermes may guide the spirits back to the underworld. |
| 23. Diasia | A festival in honor of the Chthonic Zeus. On this date, an offering of cakes shaped as bulls is presented to Zeus along with a gift for a child. These gifts may be given to a child within the temple, or to a shelter or orphanage where a child might enjoy them. |
Elaphebolion (March/April)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 7. Daphnephoria/Delphinia | Festival of Apollon marking His return to |
| Spring Equinox. Hellenic Spring Festival | A celebration of Demeter, Persephone, Gaia, Pan and Artemis in honor of Persephone’s return and the return of fertility to the Earth. During the first part of the festival, a game is played where people must hunt for the icon of Persephone somewhere outside the temple space. The winner of the game gains the honor of carrying the icon during the procession to the shrine of Demeter, Gaia, Pan and Artemis. Offerings are also made to Pan and Artemis marking the time of year where animals come out of hibernation. |
Mounikhion (April/May)

| 16. Mounikhia | Festival in honor of Artemis. On this date, special cakes shaped as moons are offered to Artemis, along with games and sacrifices. |
| No Specific Day. Hyakinthia | On this date, special offerings are given to Hyakinthus and Apollon in honor of Their love affair, and the games of Hyakinthus. |

Thargelion (May/June)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| 5. Letolia | An observance in honor of Leto, the mother of Apollon and Artemis. This particular observance is sometimes added into the Thargelia on the following day. |
| 6-7. Thargelia | There are two parts to the Thargelia. The first is a great purification of the community. During this ceremony, two straw dolls are made and blessed as the pharmakoi. These dolls are then passed around in a circle, while people write things that they desire to be rid of on slips of paper and weave into the straw parts of the doll. At the end, the pharmakoi are burned. The second part of the festival is a birthday celebration to Apollon and Artemis. Two cakes filled with vegetables are offered with candles in them during a procession. |
| 24. HTAZP Kallynteria | On this date, as the Athenians cleaned the temple to Athena, the HTAZP main temple space is cleaned. All of the icons are washed in pure water, and replaced upon the shrines. |
Skirophorion (June/July)
| 1. Noumenia | Festival of the New Moon, all the Gods, Ancestors and the Agathos Daimon. Incense is burned at all of the shrines on this date. |
| Summer Solstice. Hellenic Summer Festival | A festival in honor of Helios and Selena. At this festival, the three candles seen at the Winter festival are brought out and the flame is passed from Helios’ candle to Selene’s, representing the time of the year with the longest nights. |
| 14. Bouphonia | A festival in honor of Zeus and the first sacrifice. During this date, offerings are made to Zeus in honor of His guidance over the community. |
| Last Day. Diisoteria | A festival in honor of Zeus on New Year’s eve. The closing meal of the year is held in His honor and in the honor of the Ancestors and all the Gods. |
