Upcomming Temple Event Calendar

June:

Sunday, 11 2006: Feast of Fear
The feast of fear is a modern festival of Pan at which we ask for His assistance in purifying us of our fears so that we can continue to be strong. The day includes the making of masks which are presented to Pan in His Chthonic form so that He may help us to face and bury the fears we bring to Him.

Exact details of festival still being constructed.

Sunday, 18 2006: Bouphonia
The Bouphonia is an Ancient Athenian Festival which honors Zeus. This particular day we honor Him as the one who removes blood guilt from us. In the ancient times, an oxe was killed with a blow on the head with an axe, and then the axe was tried and convicted of murder. The axe was then thrown into the sea. In the modern observance, the HTAZP Celebration will honor the celebration as a way to cleanse ourselves of any guilt that we may have collected over the year.

Sunday, 28 2006: Mega Noumenia and Diisoteria
The Ancient Athenians honored Zeus and their Patron Goddess Athena on the very last day of the year, thanking Them for the year that has past and then asking that Their blessings continue in the next year. HTAZP is taking this celebration and embelishing it to honor Zeus and the other Patrons of the temple along with all other Gods, Spirits and our Ancestors. Hekate will be given special honors as well as this is a time of transition.
